Dave McIlroy of PlayFullScreen to webcast Women's Pre Olympic Hockey

February 5, 2010

Delta, BC

It has just been confirmed that Dave McIlroy with PlayFullScreen will produce the pre Olympic Women's Hockey exhibition game between Finland and Slovakia, February 9, 2010.

In conjunction with partners DeltaTV and North Delta Minor Hockey Association, PlayFullScreen will encode the video production and stream it live to the Internet. This caps off a milestone day for the Municipality of Delta, BC as the Torch Run enters Delta on February 9. Sungod arena in North, Delta, BC is sold out for the Hockey Game as the excitement around the Olympics is building each day.

This will be the second time PlayFullScreen shares technical responsibility with the producers of DeltaTV. The two crews mesh perfectly and an event such as the Women's Hockey Game is a great example of how traditional media is blending technology to bring compelling content to all three screens TV, Computer and Mobile.

McIlroy says "We are delighted to work again with the DeltaTV crew, they are consummate professionals and this makes our job so much easier." McIlroy also acknowledges George Windsor of North Delta Minor Hockey Association, "George has had great vision for what we can do out of Sungod arena, The Midget Scholarship Tournament was the first time we worked together and on the heels of that success the Women's pre Olympic Hockey Game was the next logical event to produce."

PlayFullScreen will produce close to 2500 hours of live and archived Internet Broadcasts each month. Working with sports, media and entertainment, universities and local governments, PlayFullScreen encourages them to become their own media companies. "Technology and associated prices have improved so that anyone can get into Internet Broadcasting. There are more options than ever to choose from. With all that potential and an available market waiting for your content why would you ever choose to give up your content rights?" said McIlroy. "PlayFullScreen has made the process effortless for anyone to produce live web broadcast events. It does not matter if you have ever used a computer to record video or whether you have ever published a web page; our technology does all that for you. Simply point the camera and click start, our software SelfCaster does the rest," said Dave McIlroy, Co-Founder of PlayFullScreen.
